5.2.4 Disk copying and mirroring while JP1/AJS3 is active

Functionality for disk copying and mirroring while programs are active might be provided by the hardware and OS. However, if you attempt to perform such tasks while JP1/AJS3 is active, the following sorts of problems could occur:

Buffering or delays in the disk copying or mirroring process might compromise data synchronization between the source and destination disks.

Multiple files might be updated while a JP1/AJS3 service is running. Inconsistencies might arise if disk copying or mirroring is performed after one file is updated, but another is not.

For these reasons, JP1/AJS3 operation is not guaranteed if you attempt to recover the system using a copied or mirrored disk. If you need to restore the system from a copied or mirrored disk, first delete the JP1/AJS3 operating environment, and then set up the environment once again, starting from the definitions.
