Job Management Partner 1/Integrated Management - Event Gateway for Network Node Manager i Description, User's Guide and Reference
When an event such as a failure occurs on a network device that is managed by HP NNMi, an NNMi incident is issued. JP1/IM - EG for NNMi is a product that converts such NNMi incidents into JP1 events so that they are in a format that can be managed by JP1/Base.
The converted JP1 events are forwarded to a JP1/IM integrated management system product, which manages and monitors the converted JP1 events in the same way that it manages and monitors JP1 events that are issued by other JP1-series programs.
JP1/IM achieves integrated management of systems by linking with middleware products (JP1 series products), such as for job management and storage management, as well as with JP1/IM - EG for NNMi, thus enabling it to manage the configuration and operations of the entire system.
In this manual, HP NNMi is abbreviated as NNMi.
