The following table describes the types of events output to the action log, and what causes Performance Management to output each type of event. The event type is an ID used to categorize the events output to the action log.
Table G-1 Types of events output to the action log
Event type Description Time when event is output by Performance Management StartStop Indicates that software has started or stopped.
- When Performance Management services are started and stopped
- When stand-alone mode begins and ends
Authentication Indicates that an attempt was made by a system administrator or user to connect or pass authentication, and the attempt succeeded or failed. When login authentication results are received from PFM - Web Console (for PFM users and JP1 users) ConfigurationAccess Indicates that a system administrator has executed a permitted operation, and the operation succeeded or failed.
- When an alarm or action definition is created, updated, or deleted
- When an alarm is bound or unbound
- When a PFM use is added, deleted, or updated
ExternalService Indicates the result of communication between a JP1 product and an external service.
- PFM - Agent or PFM - RM
When the status of the connection to PFM - Manager changes
- PFM - Manager
When PFM - Agent (or PFM - RM) is connected or disconnected
AnomalyEvent Indicates that an error has occurred such as an aspect of the system exceeding a threshold. When an alarm is generated Indicates that abnormal communication has occurred. ManagementAction Indicates that a program has executed an important action.
This event type indicates that an action is triggered by an event of other category.When an automated action is executed
