The differences between Performance Management product configurations of version 09-00 or later and 07-10 or earlier are described below.

(1) Product configuration for 09-00 or later of Performance Management
Version 09-00 or later of Performance Management consists of five products, PFM - Manager, PFM - Web Console, PFM - Base, PFM - Agent, and PFM - RM.

PFM - Base is a prerequisite product for PFM - Agent and PFM - RM. PFM - Agent and PFM - RM cannot be installed unless PFM - Base is installed. However, there is no need to install PFM - Base if PFM - Manager and PFM - Agent or PFM - RM are installed on the same host. You cannot install PFM - Manager and PFM - Base on the same host because they are mutually exclusive products.
PFM - RM is the product that performs remote monitoring. You can use a single PFM - RM to monitor multiple targeted programs. You do not need to have a PFM - RM for each target program to be monitored.
(2) Product configuration for 07-10 or earlier of Performance Management
Version 07-10 or earlier of Performance Management consists of three products, PFM - Manager, PFM - View, and PFM - Agent.
