(2) Overview of the Performance Management Administrator Console

In Performance Management, some commands require administrator permissions. These commands are called administrator commands. The Performance Management Administrator Console is the command prompt used to execute the administrator commands.

If the User Account Control (UAC) of Windows is available, execute these commands from the Administrator Console.

(3) Creating folders or files specific to Performance Management

When you create folders or files specific to Performance Management, do not create them in the folder where the UAC function is active.

(4) About WRP (Windows Resource Protection)

Resources under the folder, for which the resource protection by WRP is enabled, cannot be deleted or changed. Do not set folders or recording destinations for the folders under the folder for which WRP is configured.

(5) About support for Windows Defender

When you are using the software explorer function of Windows Defender, warning messages might be displayed for unclassified programs.

When you install PFM - Manager, or perform the additional setup of PFM - Agent or PFM - RM to PFM - Manager, warning messages might be output by any function of Windows Defender. Therefore, all functions of Windows Defender must be turned off. You can also exclude the folder that installs PFM - Manager from the audit target of Windows Defender.

(6) Commands requiring BackupOperators permissions

If you use Windows Server 2008 and belong to the BackupOperators group, you can execute the commands that require BackupOperators permissions.
