cjdumpsv [server-name]

This command obtains a JavaVM thread dump when no response is returned to the Web browser or EJB client, or when a failure occurs in a J2EE server, or when the behavior of an application is to be examined.

This command outputs a thread dump to the server's standard output log (cjstdout.log) and to the following file:

• In Windows
  Cosminexus-work-directory\ejb\server-name\javacore*.txt
  
• In UNIX
  Cosminexus-work-directory/ejb/server-name/javacore*.txt
  

Cosminexus-work-directory is the directory that was specified for the ejb.public.directory key in usrconf.cfg (option definition file for the J2EE server).

server-name

Specifies the name of a connected J2EE server. If the server name is omitted, the host name is assumed.

0:

The command terminated normally.

1:

The command terminated abnormally.

• To execute the cjdumpsv command in UNIX, you must have root permission or Component Container Administrator permission.
• When you specify a server name in the command arguments, you must specify a case-sensitive character string that matches a server name specified in a cjsetup (set up or unsetup J2EE server).
• If you start the J2EE server from Manager or as a Windows service, the thread dump acquisition might fail.
