Starting the system to start the business (when using GUI)

This subsection describes the procedure for starting the business (application) by starting the system in stopped status. Use the management portal for starting the system, and the application. Because the operation management functionality (Management Server and Administration Agent) is started concurrently with the host, the host is assumed to be in started status.

Organization of this subsection: (1) Startup and login of the management portal; (2) Starting the logical server

(1) Startup and login of the management portal

Once you have logged in to the management portal, proceed to (2) Starting logical server.

Start the Web browser, connect to http://localhost:28080/mngsvr/index.jsp, and then start the management portal.
Enter "admin" in the management user ID on the Login to Management Server window, and click the Login button.

(2) Starting the logical server

Click Start/stop logical server on the Management Portal window.
Click DefaultDomain on Server View tab, and then click the Batch Run tab.
On the Batch Run window click the Execute button.
The request for batch start is received, and the operational status of the logical servers on the Operational Status of the Logical Server window changes from "Stopped" to "Starting", and then to "Operating".

Note

If the resource adapter and the business application are stopped before stopping the logical J2EE Server; you must start the resource adapter and the business application after starting the logical server.
