4.3.2 Using a batch file for the logon script

JP1/Software Distribution Administrator Kit creates a sample batch file (install.bat) for the logon script when an installation set is created. By editing this batch file and registering it in the user profile, the user can install JP1/Software Distribution Client using the logon script.

However, the logon script is available only when the user uses installation set for a file server to install JP1/Software Distribution Client.

In Windows 8, Windows Server 2012, Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 or Windows Vista, because the User Account Control dialog box appears when Client Tool starts, automatic installation employing a batch script file for the logon script cannot be used.

The following explains how to edit the batch file for the logon script (install.bat).

How to edit the batch file for the logon script (install.bat)
Find the following description in the batch file. Replace server-name and shared-directory-name with the actual name of the server storing the installation set and the name of the directory storing the installation set.
