JP1/Software Distribution Administrator Kit provides Startup Kit that enables you to easily install and set up JP1/Software Distribution Client. Startup Kit consists of Administrator Tool and Client Tool.

Figure 1-1 shows the procedure for installing JP1/Software Distribution Client using Startup Kit.

To install JP1/Software Distribution Client:

1. Create the installation set.
   Use Administrator Tool to create the installation set of JP1/Software Distribution Client. The installation set can be created for JP1/Software Distribution Client 06-53 or later.
   
2. Store the installation set.
   Store the installation set on the medium (CD-ROM, file server, or FTP server) used for installing JP1/Software Distribution Client according to the type of installation set you specified using Administrator Tool.
   
3. Install JP1/Software Distribution Client on the client machine.
   When you execute Client Tool in the installation set on the client machine at the distribution destination, JP1/Software Distribution Client is automatically installed according to the contents of the installation set that you created in step 1.
