2.3.4 Adding SAP BW system entries to the services file

Add the service name and the port number of the connection destination message server into the services file when you connect a message server.

The following table describes the specification format for the service name and the port number of the message server to be connected.

Specify the system ID of the SAP BW system for sid in sapmssid.

For example, if the system ID of the connection destination message server is IB1 and the port number of the message server is 3601/tcp, add the following entry (service name, port number) to the services file:

sapmsIB1 3601/tcp

The following figure shows examples of additions to the SAP BW system entries.
