2.2.4 Adding R/3 system entries to the services file

Add the service name and the port number of the connection destination message server in the services file when you connect a message server.

The following table describes the specification format for the service name and the port number of the message server to be connected.

Specify the system ID of the R/3 system for sid in sapmssid.
For example, if the system ID of the connection destination message server is SD1 and the port number of the message server is 3601/tcp, add the following entry (server name and port number) to the services file:
sapmsSD1 3601/tcp

The following figure shows typical additions to the R/3 system entries.
