(1) Messages beginning with KAV
Each JP1/AJS3 message consists of a message ID, followed by the message text.
Messages are output in one of the following formats:
- KAVCnnnn-Z message text
- KAVSnnnn-Z message text
- KAVTnnnn-Z message text
- KAVUnnnn-Z message text
- KAVVnnn-Z message text
The message ID consists of the following:
- K
- System identifier
- AVC, AVS, AVT, AVU or AVV
- Indicates a message output by JP1/AJS3.
- nnnn or nnn
- Message serial number
- Z
- Message type, as one of the following:
- E
Error message. Processing is canceled. However, if you specify more than one name using a command, the system outputs this message for each name and continues command processing.
- W
Warning message. Processing continues after message output.
- I
Information message. Reports information to the user.
- Q
Query message. Prompts the user to respond.
- K
Continuation message. Processing continues.
Table 1-2 shows the correspondence between the message levels and the Windows event logs. Table 1-3 shows the correspondence between the message levels and the priority levels of UNIX syslogs.

(2) Messages beginning with KFP
Each message output by an embedded database consists of a message ID, followed by the message text. Messages are output in the following format:
- KFPXnnnn-Z message text
- KFPX
- Indicates a message output by an embedded database.
- X
- Code identifying the source managing the message
- nnnn
- Message serial number
- Z
- Message type, as one of the following:
- E
Error message. Processing is canceled. However, if you specify more than one name using a command, the system outputs this message for each name and continues command processing.
- W
Warning message. Processing continues after message output.
- I
Information message. Reports information to the user.
- Q
Query message. Prompts the user to respond.
- K
Continuation message. Processing continues.
(3) Messages beginning with KNA
The following shows the format of messages output by JP1/AJS3 system management or agent management. Each message consists of a message ID, followed by the message text. Messages are output in the following format:
- KNACnnnn-Z message text
- KNADnnnn-Z message text
- K
- System identifier
- NAC or NAD
- Indicates a message output by JP1/AJS3 system management or agent management.
- nnnn
- Message serial number
- Z
- Message type, as one of the following:
- E
Error message. Processing is canceled. However, if you specify more than one name using a command, the system outputs this message for each name and continues command processing.
- W
Warning message. Processing continues after message output.
- I
Information message. Reports information to the user.
