Appendix G. Migration Procedure and Notes on Migration

To upgrade the version of PFM - Agent for Virtual Machine, use overwrite installation of PFM - Agent for Virtual Machine. For details about how to perform installation, see 2. Installation and Setup.

Notes:
  • When you are upgrading to a new version, do not uninstall the earlier version of PFM - Agent for Virtual Machine. If it is uninstalled, the performance data created using the earlier version will be deleted and will not be available for the newer version.
  • When you use overwrite installation for the PFM - Agent for Virtual Machine programs, the following items are automatically updated:

    [Figure] INI file
    [Figure] PFM - Agent for Virtual Machine instance environment
