Job Management Partner 1/Performance Management - Agent Option for Platform Description, User's Guide and Reference
The methods of collecting and managing performance data differ depending on the type of record that stores performance data. Records in PFM - Agent for Platform are classified into the following types:
- PI record type
- PD record type
- PL record type

When the PL record exceeds the upper limit of the set number of record items, the record is overwritten, starting with the oldest one.
You can use PFM - Web console to change the upper limit of the number of record items. For details about how to set the upper limit of the number of record items, see the chapter explaining operation monitoring data management in the manual Job Management Partner 1/Performance Management User's Guide.
PL records are not summarized by time.
You use PFM - Web Console to select which records collected and managed by PFM - Agent are to be used as performance data. To collect UNIX log information, you need to specify settings in PFM - Agent for Platform in addition to those specified in PFM - Web Console. For details about collecting log information, see 3. Collecting Log Information.
Note that in addition to the default performance data, PFM - Agent for Platform can collect other types of performance data and store the data in records. These records are called user-defined records. For details about how to collect user-defined records, see 4. User-Defined Record Collection.
