7.5.14 Handling a duplicated address operand value
If all the following conditions are satisfied, HA Monitor might malfunction:
-
The applicable model is BladeSymphony, HA8000, or RV3000.
-
Hot-standby switchover based on host reset is selected as the switchover method.
-
An address operand value in the HA Monitor environment settings is the same as that in any other hot-standby configuration.
The following explains the corrective action to take if a duplicate address operand value (host address) is specified by mistake, resulting in issuance of the KAMN414-E message.
-
Terminate HA Monitor on the local host or the HA Monitor indicated by the detail code in the KAMN414-E message.
For details about how to terminate HA Monitor, see (3) Terminating HA Monitor.
-
Take one of the following actions:
-
Isolate the network so that no messages are transmitted between the hot-standby configurations.
-
Change the port numbers for reset path (including SVP) and monitoring path to unique values in each hot-standby configuration so that no messages are transmitted between the hot-standby configurations.
-
Change the host addresses of all HA Monitors that share the network, not just within the hot-standby configuration, to unique values (change the address operand values in the HA Monitor environment settings).
-
-
If you have taken the second or third actions of step 2, restart the HA Monitors whose settings were changed.
Do not restart the OS until the HA Monitor is restarted.
