6.5.3 Settings required for using SCSI reservation for shared disk

If you will be using SCSI reservation for shared disk, you must specify the following settings:

• Hard disk (virtual disk) settings

  • Compatible mode: Physical

• SCSI controller settings

  • SCSI controller type: LSI Logic SAS or VMware Paravirtual

• Path management

  • Path selection: Fixed, Most recent, or Round-robin

These settings are related to the shared disk that is subject to hot standby processing by HA Monitor.
