4.3.3 Managing a LAN
HA Monitor assigns an alias IP address to a server and switches a LAN by adding and deleting that alias IP address to and from the LAN adapter.

(1) Connecting
When HA Monitor sets a network interface status, it adds an alias IP address to the LAN adapter. The following figure shows the processing flow for connecting with a LAN.

(2) Switching
When HA Monitor sets the network interface status, it deletes the alias IP address.
The following figure shows the processing flow for switching a LAN in the event of a server failure.
