6.16.2 Specifying UAP environment variables
You must specify UAP environment variables to start a UAP that contains APIs. Specify the following environment variables by means of a shell used to execute the server start command:
-
HAMON_UAPNAME environment variable
Specify the name of a program that was specified in the name operand in the monitor-mode program environment definition. This environment variable is required.
When HA Monitor receives a monitoring start request or a monitoring end request from an API, it uses the program name specified in this environment variable to identify the UAP that issued the API.
-
HAMON_API_PATROL environment variable
Specify nouse in this environment variable only if the UAP is to run in an environment in which HA Monitor has not been installed or in a test environment in which HA Monitor has not started. When nouse is specified, the hamon_patrolstart and hamon_patrolstop functions return with return code 0.
