1.3.3 Forced hot-standby switchover
Forced hot-standby switchover is a function that allows the operator to forcibly switch the host if login to the OS of the active system is impossible or attempted hot-standby switchover does not finish. To perform forced hot-standby switchover, the operator executes the server hot-standby switchover command (monswap command) from the standby system.
HA Monitor uses the same environment settings regardless of whether automatic hot-standby switchover or forced hot-standby switchover is performed.
The following figure provides an overview of forced hot-standby switchover.
