2.4.2 Inheriting a shared disk
HA Monitor uses an LVM to inherit a shared disk. While the shared disk is being used by the active server, HA Monitor applies a logical lock to the shared disk so that it cannot be accessed from the standby server.
When LVM is used, the shared disk is inherited in units of volume groups. LVM controls the connection between HA Monitor and the shared disk.
