haoraenvcheck control-definition-file-name { -instance | -listener }

This is a subcommand that checks a control definition file to determine whether its definitions match the rules. It can be used only in the following commands:

• haorainsbgn
• haoralsnrbgn
• haorainsend
• haoralsnrend
• haorainsptl
• haoralsnrptl

• control-definition-file-name
  Specifies the name of a control definition file.
  
• -instance
  Specify this to check the definitions in a control definition file for an Oracle instance.
  
• -listener
  Specify this to check the definitions in a control definition file for an Oracle listener.

0	Normal termination (The control definition file was checked successfully.)
Other than 0	Abnormal termination
