In an Oracle hot-standby configuration, the resources that HA Monitor needs to switch correspond to servers as follows:

• Shared disk
  Define a shared disk in the server that is associated with the Oracle instance or Oracle listener that uses the shared disk.
  
• IP address for client connection (alias IP address)
  Define the alias IP address needed by a client for connecting to the database in the status-setting file of the LAN of the server that is associated with the Oracle listener. If no Oracle listener is used, define the alias IP address in the status-setting file of the LAN of the server that is associated with the Oracle relational database management system to which the client connects.
