Types of access paths

SELECT-APSL (applicable only to a HiRDB single server configuration): If the specified conditions contain a ? parameter, the optimum access path may depend on the value of the ? parameter. The optimum access path cannot be selected during SQL optimization processing because the value of the ? parameter cannot be determined. This method selects an access path by calculating the hit rate during SQL execution.
