(1) Common function
The pdcat command displays the contents of HiRDB system files for a specified type of display object.
(2) Common format
pdcat [-d display-object-type] [display-object-type-options]

- The specifiable options depend on the display object type.
(3) Common options
Specifies the type of file to be displayed:
- sts
- Status file
- Default
- Message log file
(4) Common note
- Return code 0 for the pdcat command indicates normal termination, and return code 8 indicates abnormal termination.
- If you specify only the TMPDIR environment variable without specifying the pd_tmp_directory operand in the system definition and you cancel the pdcat command or other HiRDB command during execution, a file whose name begins with pdcmd might remain in the directory set by the TMPDIR environment variable. In this case, use the OS's rm command to delete such a file.
