9.11 Changing the transaction recovery message queue size

The transaction recovery message queue is an area for temporarily storing transactions to be recovered. When HiRDB recovers transactions, it registers the transactions to be recovered in the transaction recovery message queue. The registered transactions are extracted from the transaction recovery message queue and recovered.

If there are many transactions waiting to be recovered while transactions are being registered in the transaction recovery message queue, transaction registration wait occurs in the queue. This lengthens transaction recovery time. To prevent this, you can increase the size of the transaction recovery message queue.

(1) Application standard

When the size of the transaction recovery message queue becomes insufficient, HiRDB outputs the KFPS00854-W message shown below. When this message is output, consider changing the transaction recovery message queue size.

KFPS00854-W Insufficient memory in message buffer pool. server=_trnrcv

(2) Changing the transaction recovery message queue size

You specify the transaction recovery message queue size in the pd_trn_rcvmsg_store_buflen operand of the system definitions. For details about how to determine the value to specify for this operand, see the manual HiRDB Version 9 System Definition.
