HiRDB can be linked to Sun Java System Directory Servers by means of a facility that is called the Sun Java System Directory Server linkage facility (or simply the Directory Server linkage facility).

Prerequisites

• One of the following OSs is required in order to use the Sun Java System Directory Server linkage facility:
  HP-UX
  Solaris 8
  AIX 5L
  You must use the 32-bit POSIX library version of HiRDB. When you set up the HiRDB environment, use the pdsetup command to select HiRDB's POSIX library version.
